SC10 vs. Slash pics

April 30th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in RC Car Deals
Hello!

Finally got a roller assembled out of my SC10. I mixed it up with my T4, so it's got some "bling" on it.

What really surprised me is that THAT THEY'RE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE. From associated measurements, it came up shorter than the slash. The bodies from the slash would drop right on the SC10 if it wasn't for the different body post positions and different rear bumper connections.

The SC10 has the stock camber and bull stud positions. And the bull studs have a hollow plug for my allen wrench! Not using the old ball studs every again! But as you can see there's WAY too much negative camber and toe, so I'll be playing with that.

sorry for the bad pics, I'll try to use a camera next time worth a crap. I'll shoot over some more pics as I progress, in like a week or so :(. When it's done it will have a novak 4.5r brushless system in it.

Let me know if you have any Q's!

The first company to want to help was Hostile Hobby Products. Many of you know Hostile Rob as the Hostile HPI Baja 5 series RC Tire Guru. The next company to want to work toward more national recognition of Large Scale happenings is Scorpion Unlimited. "Koz" as he is known, is a relative newcomer to RC, having only been involved with RC in general a mere 3 to 4 yrs, but he has certainly not let his newbness stop him from producing a BashProof Heavy Duty line of chassis, and chassis parts for the HPI Baja 1/5th scale line of RC. Now with a Light Weight Chassis designed for the Racer in mind, Koz and Scorpion Unlimited is enthused to be working with LSRA to help promote the Large Scale Hobby.

The third company to get involved is Slammer RC. Ron has been a racer for most of his life, and has traveled extensively as a sponsored driver for many different company's in the RC Environment. Along with his involvement with LSRA, Ron owns Slammer RC, which produces protection merchandise for your large scale gas motors, which help keep rocks, sticks and other flywheel braking stuff out of the running motor. Slammer also has more protection minded gear coming for your Large Scale RC Motors and Cars. With Ron's background, He and Slammer RC are great additions to LSRA and our dedication in growing and Promoting the Large Scale Hobby.

Next up is ONeill Brothers Racing. Many folks in the large scale hobby know the Name Oneill Brothers Racing. Many of you recognize the name Turtle Racing with High Quality, Well Designed, Well Fitting Hop ups and Upgrade pieces for the HPI Baja 5 series of RC. Hey hey!

April 30th, 2009 by admin | No Comments | Filed in RC Car Deals
Hey guys, damn has been a long time since I have even seen this forum. Good to know the layout is still the same =D Anyway since I have been gone went through like 3 ST-1 bought sold bought sold bought sold, now I still have my MGT .21, but haven't fired it up in a while + need to fix the failsafe wire and I sold my SW chaos that thing was a bomb ticking (something always melted lol).

Anyways.......................

So my friends were all talking about the good ol RC days and figured this time we would look into something electric. In debate between mini and 1/10th. Thinking something decently quick, 4x4 preferably, but as long as it is fast its good(durable), and cheap (like under 0). Will also be considering something used.

During the summer will probably pick up my 4th st-1 lol, or get the RC8T noticed they have those now.

Opinions would be great, thanks!
